What Merge Excel Files does

Merge Excel stacks the rows of several Excel or CSV files into a single table. It is made for monthly reports, branch exports and any set of files that share the same columns.

Columns are matched by name, so files do not need the same column order. If a file is missing a column, the tool tells you and leaves those cells blank instead of silently dropping data.

Frequently asked questions

Do my files need identical columns?

No. Columns are matched by heading name, in any order. Missing columns are left blank and listed in a warning.

Can I tell which row came from which file?

Yes. Keep “Add a Source file column” ticked.

Does it remove duplicates?

No. It only stacks rows. Use Excel Rescue afterwards to remove duplicate rows.

How many files can I merge?

As many as your device can handle. Each file can be up to 40 MB.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Files are read and combined in your browser.
